WESTERN TRADE COAST SET TO UNDERGO GATEWAY REVAMP

19 April, 2012

Entry into the Western Trade Coast, one of Perth’s most important industrial areas is set to improve through a beautification project aimed at generating further industry interest and investment to the area.

Almost $200,000 in funding for the landscaping project has been committed by several government authorities including the Town of Kwinana ($50,333), LandCorp ($15,000) and Main Roads WA ($139,667).

The project will include enhanced revegetation and revitalisation of hard landscaping.

“Improving the appearance of the Western Trade Coast is very important to ensure that the State Government fulfills its goal of increasing the WTC’s economic output to $28 billion per annum and lifting employment to 22,000 people,” the Western Trade Coast Industries Committee said.
