Western Australia has a strong export-focused economy with ever-increasing demand on its freight and logistics industries. Supporting these industries are vast land transport networks including more than 17,000km of toll-free roads and a 6,400km public rail system.
The WTC is an ideal location for warehousing and logistics operations, with affordable land close to Perth and accessibility to major port, road and rail arteries, including major freeways and transport networks.
The location and facilities within the WTC enable inward goods to be stored and then distributed throughout the metropolitan area and broader Western Australia.
High-wide load corridors provide access to transport routes and provide harbour access for the inbound or outbound transport of oversized modules and major projects.
A new intermodal terminal for transporting containers between sea, road and rail is proposed for Latitude 32, which will make the area ideal for logistics industries supporting the new Kwinana Port.
